TRILOGY was released in early August 2006 and has already won excellent Croatian and international reviews. The INFINITY album, which was released in March 2004, followed the OCEAN CD. It contains 18 original compositions, each expressing the infinity possibilities of the steel string guitar. Unlike the OCEAN album, INFINITY is prominently experimental in nature and includes compositions ranging from typical acoustic guitar pieces to full band arrangements. The OCEAN release was recorded in Bologna, Italy during January 2003. It was produced by Franco Morone, one of the world's most famous fingerstyle guitar players. There are fifteen original compositions on the OCEAN and the project represents the first Croatian fingerstyle guitar CD. Along with solo guitar tracks, Meri Troselj's beautiful vocals appear on several songs. Some compositions are based on Croatian traditional music. For example, on the song 'Brela,' classical guitartremolo on steel strings guitar and characteristic open tunings were used to create a typical Dalmatian and Mediterranean musical atmosphere. Along with Franco Morone, sound engineer Davide Roveri also participated on this project. GEMINI is a double CD. The music on first CD ranges from rock with a strong blues influence, to country, bluegrass, and experimental compositions. Disc 2 is less balanced in style than the first. It ranges from acoustic balads to pop music, from euro dancebeats to experimental compositions. If the first CD could be labeled as American sounding, the second can certainly be described as having a dominate European sound... more details
